Steve and Family,
What a wonderful person Patti was, and you were so fortunate to have had the honor to call her your Wife, Mom, Grandma and Sister. To many of us, she was not just a friend but a good friend, a great co-worker and so much more. Patti made each of us a better person just by being around her, whether at work or by just getting together. She made us feel like family. I will always remember Patti with a smile on her face, her eyes brightly lit and having a “look” that conveyed to everyone how truly happy she was.

For everyone that knew Patti this loss is such a big blow. To loose such a great person seems so unfair. Patti had a gift in that she could talk to anyone and make them feel better no matter the situation. Through our careers at FCPD she was such a great supporter. She was never afraid to keep us humble and keep our perspective. She was more of a leader than her titles often reflected. She was a person who made a difference everyday. I will always think of her and smile. I am glad I was given the gift of knowing her. Steve, I am so sorry for your loss and please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. So sorry to hear about your loss. Patti was a very special women and she will be missed. I lost my wife to cancer in February 2014 and know that you will be going through some tough times during the mourning process. May God bless you and be with you.

It was with such sadness that I learned of Patti's passing. I knew her my whole career, 32 years worth. Patti was such an incredibly warm, caring and friendly person. She was the type of person who could always bring a smile to your face. Patti undoubtedly touched many people's lives, and will never be forgotten.

I was so saddened to hear the news of Patti's passing.Patti will be missed by many of us. She chaired many UMW bake sales and loved to bake various cookies for the UMW Cookie Walk. Her joy and smile brightened anyone's day. Although her life journey was short, she touched many lives with love and compassion. She shared her joy of the house on the beach with her loved ones. Steve and family, it is so hard to say goodbye to someone who meant so much to so many. I wish Steve that you and Patti could have spent more time together after your retirements. I know being at the beach was a dream come true and being with famiy all the more precious.
To my dear friend Patti, I thank you for your service to FCPD and the years of support you have given to many throughout your career. Your smile and your willingness to help with any and everyone was very evident and was greatly appreciated. Through the years you moved around a few places but I sure am glad you spent a few years in McLean. It is here where I met you and started a great friendship in the early 1980's.
You were taken from Steve, your beautiful family and from all of us with the FCPD family much too soon! I will miss you and I will always think of you especially when I am at the Outer Banks. God bless you Patti and your family and rest in peace my friend.

I was so sorry to hear the news of Patti leaving you way too soon. As you know that dreadful disease cancer has hit my family as well with my son Keith fighting it everyday. Steve and family - I am so sorry for your loss - fortunately Patti did get to come to the Outer Banks and for that I am thankful. One of my best friends also died from this type of cancer and I can feel your pain. Stephanie kept me updated and I told her to let me know if there was anything I could do, but she said you had family here.
