Magi was one of the most dedicated and giving people I have ever known. She was so passionate about helping others, especially young people. In this world where so many people think mainly of themselves, she was always someone who thought of others. She will truly be missed by so many of us. I know that I was a better person for having her as a friend. She will truly be missed......

Rest easy Ms. Shepley. Your devotion to the youth of Sterling is unmatched and will always be remembered. Your final wish to have all proceeds go to Park View youth opportunities is a testament to your pure character and your genuine caring for those that too often are uncared for. You're in my prayers.

I first met Magi when she volunteered to stay up for the Park View All Night Project Grad event so one of her students could attend. His adjustment to the environment was smooth so Magi asked if she could do more. She was able to fill a need and was a blessing. We worked together, each fall and spring, on the Park View Craft & Vendor Show. She was the one to greet our shoppers as they came to the show. She was such a loving, caring woman and her presence will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her family and close friends. May God comfort you.

Ms. Shepley was a great teacher. She always liked to make sure that her students were on top of their assignments. She was not just a great teacher, but a very caring person. Her passion for students to succeed and helping others was amazing. I always enjoyed having conversations with her. She was always someone you could turn to for help. I am very grateful to have had her as a teacher and one of my case managers. I will miss you Ms. Shepley! May God Bless you!

Dear Magi, I am so sorry I was unable to properly bid you farewell. Having you as a friend for all these years (going back to the good old days on "Bix") certainly enriched my life, and gave me joy. You definitely practiced "Tikkun Olam" in your time here with us; it continues as an inspiration to me to keep trying to repair those parts of the earth I have the ability to affect.
As always when someone's gone, as long as I keep you in my memory, you'll live for me.
I'm sure that all you've helped will keep you alive within themselves, as well.
Lux Aeternam, Hon. Love you. --David

Words cannot adequately express the sadness I feel for the loss of my friend and former colleague, Park View HS teacher Magi Shepley. Magi lost her struggle with a long illness on Friday, September 9th. My feelings of sadness are mixed with relief that she is released from the struggling, suffering, and pain. R.I.P., dear Magi. Love, Marlene
We Remember Them by Sylvan Kamens & Rabbi Jack Riemer
At the rising sun and at its going down; We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter; We remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring; We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer; We remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of the autumn; We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends; We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as We remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength; We remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart; We remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make; We remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share; We remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs; We remember them.
For as long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as, We remember them.

My heart is broken on the loss of Magi. She was always devoted to helping others. I remember her as a wonderful swim teacher when she worked at Lifebridge Health and Fitness Red Cross Program. She would teach children with autism and other disabilities to swim. We were so fortunate to have her expertise. To do all of this, she needed to drive from Laudon Co, up and back. Not a small distance. Often, she would remain to socialize with the teachers before leaving.
She was a dear, heartfelt friend, kind, and always thinking of others. She will be so sincerely missed. My thoughts are with all of her friends, students and family.

Magi:
you were so passionate about technology that I marveled whenever you talked about things, you made it seem so easy. You introduced me to "Mercy" and "Adam" and Patricia Briggs and we would discuss who was our favorite. Thank you for your friendship and I truly believe that you are now no longer in pain and smiling down on all of Park View as we try to engage our students with technology.

Ms. Magi Shepley was dedicated to effective disaster communications and disaster response. She had an expertise in assistive technology and enjoyed working with people with disabilities in disaster including autism, and intellectual disabilities.
She supported her local food bank at her local school and was active in social media for preparedness. She tweeted under @mshepley. She dedicated her free time to volunteering for the American Red Cross and Humanity Road to help support people impacted by disaster.
In September of 2012 she remotely supported the Sawtooth Fire in San Bernardino, California with her fellow digital volunteers at Humanity Road and helped improve team coordination by creating an online work tool for process improvement.
During her service she helped support the Humanity Road disabilities accessibilities and functional needs team.
Ms. Shepley led a special project for Humanity Road for the Loudon County Youth Leadership Summit. The summit is a forum for young leaders from around the world to explore perspectives on issues of global significance and examine ways to progress as an international community. Ms. Shepley introduced the concepts of Humanity Road and mobile technology in preparedness to the LYLS and inspired them to create several public service announcements in language.
