Joanne was a very special friend and I am so sad and sorry to hear of her passing. At Holy Cross, we were classmates and dorm mates and fellow French majors. We both spent our junior year in Paris where Joanne was a great support to me during times when I felt far from home. Joanne was part of the Fab Four with co-Holy Cross Crusaders, Mary Alice Rock and Maryalice Sloan-Howitt, and myself. We had many fun times together over the years!
Joanne was absolutely delighted by her daughter Sarah, and proud of Sarah's energy and drive and vision--maybe even a little awestruck by it, and rightfully so. Joanne looked so happy and lovely in the pictures I saw of Sarah and Colt's wedding and I'm sure she was over the moon to welcome little Noah.
It is a comfort to know that she went peacefully. I send my deepest condolences to her family and want you to know that my thoughts are with you during this sad time. I will always remember Joanne with gratefulness for her friendship.
