My deepest sympathy to the Zerges family.
Tony and I grew up together as good Catholic boys. We live on Diehl Rd. in Cincinnati during the fifties and sixties. Tony was a cousin, but we were treated like brothers. He was much more to me than that, he was my best friend.
His parents, Uncle Walter and Aunt Mary were my second parents. They were always kind, welcoming and lovable, which was reflected in Tony.
Tony and I had many good times (and bad) growing up during this period of hippies and rock and roll. Even though is has been nearly 40 years since I last saw Tony, I believe we would picked up our last conversation as if it never ended. I am so thankful that Tony was a major part of my life.
"Because I knew you, I have been changed for good"

Tony's first car was a used Mustang, it must have been one of the first produced Mustangs. He love that car!

This is a a picture of Tony and me. Tony is on the right. It was taken in front of his house on Diehl Rd. in Cincinnati by his father, Walter, Christmas, 1971. Love the long hair, we were in college.

I'd like to offer my condolences to Tony's family and friends. I worked with Tony for many years at NiSource. His visits to the EnergyUSA offices were always welcome and he was delightful. I learned so much from him and have often thought of him fondly after he retired. He was a genuinely nice man who loved his family.

I worked with Tony for many years while with Columbia Gas and NiSource on financial and risk management matters.Tony had a way of connecting facts and seeing patterns that were hidden to many others. We relied extensively on Tony to identify and manage risk both inside and outside the company. He always had our back.
A former CEO of NiSource described Tony as "a really, really smart, stand up man." Quite a tribute.
I am sorry for your loss. Tony was a good friend and I will miss him very much.

I extend my deepest sympathy on your loss. It was a pleasure to work with Tony in the strategic planning and risk management disciplines If there was an analytical problem to be addressed, Tony was the "go to" person in the company. He was a dear friend and associate.
