Betty Jane and Family, LIke so many others, I was saddened to hear of Chip's passing. He and I never saw much of each other outside the office environments, but he was one of my absolute favortes among the insiders. I remember fondly the trip he and I made to Warsaw and Moscow, I believe in September, 1985, with a brief stop in Paris on the way back. I will not be here for the services. Maybe we can have coffee somewhere down the road. All the best. Dick

Dear Chris ad Meghan, I'm sorry for your loss. I served with your Dad in Paris many years ago. He was not only a very talented and dedicated officer; but also a kind, warm, understanding gentleman. Sincerely, Bill Owen

So funny how some memories come back so clearly when we least expect it. Re Chip/Paris: I remember he seemed to be the organizer of the Chinese restaurant outings (don't remember the name but was near the Madeleine ?). Sometimes there would be 20 people, all ordering something different and consuming half a dozen bottles of rose de Provence! Am sure most everyone participated at one time or another. Lots of fun. Chip and I were in the same class at CIA for training in 1964-65. He was the youngest member of our class, and also one of the most talented. I remember well how talented he was in playing the piano, and especially playing a guitar. And he could sing well to boot! I never served overseas with Chip, but kept track of his career moves and where he served. I never got to meet BJ but have heard only highly favorable comments about her. Chip was lucky to have found such a resourceful and gracious wife. May he rest in peace!

BJ, Chris, Meghan & Family: Please accept my deepest sympathies on Chip’s passing. It was truly an honor to have worked with him during the years he was in OMS (Medical), just before his retirement. I admired him a lot and while I have to admit there were days when it was a challenge to be his secretary, he was also the most fun to work with. I will always remember his lovely impish grin and the twinkle in his eye as he delivered the punch line of a joke. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care and God bless.
