Obituary of Charles Polizzotti

Charles “Chuck” Polizzotti 75, a retired Verizon and AT&T telecommunications director for over 30 years died at Reston Hospital on Wednesday, October 5th, following a long battle with leukemia. He was born in Lawrence MA and lived in CT and NY and NJ. He came to the Washington area in 2013. He served for eleven years as a Captain in the Army in Vietnam and Germany from 1963 through 1974.
He is survived by his wife Judi, son Philip and wife Letitia, son Daniel and wife Lisa and grandchildren Daniel, Katie, Lynne, daughter DeeAnna Carr and husband Greg and granddaughter Estelle. He also had two step children Robert Johnson and husband Brian Brouillette, Kris Terasowich husband Tom Terasowich and grandchildren Adam Terasowich and Amanda Griffin and sisters Lucille Emerson and Mary Jane Melia and numerous nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Herndon at 11:00 am. A reception will be held following the service. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Flowers can be sent to Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in honor of Charles Polizzotti can be directed to support the leukemia research of Dr. Amy DeZern at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
