My son Gunnar Szul was a friend of Samuel from WVU. He just passed away a few weeks ago but never took his purple bracelet off . Zoom in . It is a memory bracelet for your son . Dear Polly and Family,
I know we have not in been in touch for many years, however, you and your family have been weighing very heavy in my heart this week, especially today, as I know this is the day you laid your precious boy to rest. No parent should ever have to bury there own child. Period. But you did. I am praying, and will continue to pray for you and your family. Lean on God and His word for faith and understanding. Take comfort in knowing that you will some day be reunited with Sam in a very peaceful place called heaven.
I did not know Sam, but just looking at his pictures makes me smile.
Already, your Sam has made an impact on me and my family. I will not take any moment for granted.
I will hug my kids a little tighter tonight and every night

Chris, Polly, Maddie and Joe, our hearts are heavy and saddened for you and all the family by Sam's early and quick departure. It was so quick, he didn't even pack a bag! But, as we know, Sam is really fine and we'll all be together one day! I can just imagine all of the family members who are in Heaven and how excited they were when Sam arrived! Sam's Gi-Gi and his Granddaddy were probably elbowing trying to get to the Gates for that first hug! We understand God just gives us our children as a "gift on loan" but they really belong to God, as we all do. He has an appointed time for us each to come Home to be with Him forever. It doesn't reduce our grief in our separation for Sam, but just says "So long for a while and we'll be together again. I'll be Here in the presence of God - loving you and waiting to greet you!". Our Deepest Love and Sympathy to Each of You!

Sam was my pledge brother during the Spring 15 class. I can never think of one time I ever saw Sam angry, his attitude was always positive even in the worst of situations. Sam will always live on my memory and in the memories of the brothers of the Phi Gamma Delta. He gave me some of the best of times a man could have in his early twenties and for that I will forever be thankful for. My heart goes out to the Conner family during this time.
