Dear Mimi - I am sorry I could not be with you when you died and when you were cremated. I hope you were not scared. I hope, too, that it is true you were welcomed by a warm light that soothed you and took you to Mother and Daddy. I regret that there is no service to mark the passage of an extraordinary woman who soldiered a hideous battle with a grace and dignity I will always remember. May I model my remaining days after you. You are my fierce friend Minerva, so smart, funny and gentle, who loved everyone in your life. I will always miss you and I am so very proud of you.
