Obituary of Homer T. Weller

Homer T. Weller of Baker, West Virginia passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, December 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Jeanne Weller as well as his second wife, Ruth Glover Weller. He is survived by his children, Sherry, Gary Sr. (Saundra), David, Laura (Paul) and Kama (Jeff); his grandchildren Cymantha, Robby (Chris), Christy (Brett), Gary Jr., Heather, Toby, Sarah (Justin), Matthew, Brian and Michael, his great-grandchildren, Drake, Alayna and Caiden. Homer was born on October 24, 1925 in Hancock, Maryland. He proudly served in the military from 1944-1946 in World War II where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He then became the owner of Weller Electric for 50+ years out of Great Falls, Virginia. Homer also devoted much time and effort serving the community for many years as a youth baseball coach, instilling life values such as sportsmanship and fair play. He was adored by all for his kindness, strong work ethic and generosity. The Weller Family will receive friends at Sterling United Methodist Church in Sterling, Virginia on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11am. Reception will follow.
