Patsy was known to her friends and family as a strong and independent woman who was not afraid to jump in and take charge, but also fun loving and caring enough to be loved by all. She loved being carefree and was a wild a free spirit who enjoyed life. She met her husband Tom while working on Johnston Atoll and after getting married they were always together hand in hand for the rest of their time together. They both enjoyed bowling together (and against each other) in bowling leagues, riding motorcycles, watching movies, and fighting each other in multiplayer computer games. She also loved to sketch, draw, and paint pictures, and also would often write poems, some of which were posted in books published by the “International Society of Poets”
She worked many jobs such as Johnston Island Phone operator, Receptionist at multiple doctors’ offices, and Security guard and front desk receptionist at Reston Hospital just to name a few.
She loved her family, children and their siblings dearly, even when they didn’t think so, and will be missed by many friends and family who got to experience her joy of life.
She has spent the last 5 years fighting the little known disease “Progressive Supranuclear Palsy” or “PSP” and gave up the fight peacefully while cuddled up with her husband watching TV.
