Obituary of Michael Lee Gray, Sr.

Michael Lee Gray, Sr., 70, native of the city of Alexandria, VA, passed away on December 27, 2016 in Dulles, VA. Michael was born in Alexandria, VA to Robert and Hazel Gray on August 22, 1946. He went to school in Alexandria. He married Jean Gray on September 4, 1971 in Alexandria, VA. Jean was the love of his life and the most important person in his world. He only ever had eyes for his beautiful bride. They were married for 45 years, despite many bets that it wouldn’t last. Michael is preceded in death by his father Robert W. Gray, his Mother Hazel P. Gray, his older brother Robert M. Gray and his older sister Delores Wright. Michael is survived by his wife Jean L. Gray, son Michael Lee Gray, II, Daughters, Magen Lea McCrosky (Dave), Rachel Elizabeth Cater (John), Jody Jenkins Harris (Chuck). Grandchildren: Michael Lee Gray, III, Angela Melba Carter, Wyatt Cabell Carter, Charles Clifton Edward Harris, Jr. Victoria Marie Harris, Sarah Elizabeth Harris and Jalen Harris. Brothers and Sisters, David Gray(Diane), Danny Gray (Sally), John Gray (Joyce), Mary Walkup (Doug Janezeck), Cathy Steffey,Tim Gray (Darlene), Tom Gray. Michael is also survived many nieces and nephews, to include great, and great great nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Shepherd Gate Church 4310 Pleasant Valley Rd. Chantilly, VA. Inurnment Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA.
