My thoughts and prayers are with Alice and the rest of the Basile family. As my Godparents, Al and Alice instilled, in me, the importance of good humor and warmth in every interaction. Both of them always had a twinkle in their eyes and genuine interest in their tone whenever we crossed paths throughout my life. Even as a child, Al respected me as though I was an adult; speaking to me as directly as a father would with a great dose of his sense of humor. I’m grateful to have known Al, and proud to call him my Godfather.
