Obituary of John Douglas Leonard

John D. Leonard Of Herndon, VA. Suddenly on January 1, 2017. Born in Reston, VA on May 26, 1993 to Douglas and Jeanne Leonard. John is survived by his parents. He is the brother of Jennifer (Tom) Hulse and Andrew Leonard. Uncle of Abby and Ali Hulse. Grandson of Eva Mackintosh. John was an accomplished young man. He was an Eagle Scout, a Master Instructor (4th Degree Black Belt) of Tae Kwon Do, a graduate of Herndon High School (Class of 2011) and Virginia Commonwealth University (2015). John was a member of the Herndon United Methodist Church where he was active in both youth group and mission work. John loved to travel, he loved adventure, and he lived life fearlessly. He did more with his 23 years than many do in a lifetime. John touched many lives, more than he knew. His life was well lived. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7 from 10:30am until a memorial service to be held at 12 Noon at Herndon United Methodist Church 701 Bennett St. Herndon, VA. Reception to follow in Doe Fellowship Hall. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Living Waters International.
