Obituary of Eric Michael Winkeljohn

Eric Michael Winkeljohn passed away on Wednesday, December 28 2016. He was 25 years old. A resident of Reston, Virginia, Eric is survived by his parents, Jeff and Lori Winkeljohn of Reston, by the sister he treasured and her husband, Stephanie and David Black of Harrisburg, PA, and by his dog Gizmo. Eric, a graduate of South Lakes High School, Class of 2010, was an avid fan of Washington Nationals Baseball, the Marvel Universe, “Game of Thrones”, and “Family Guy”. He enjoyed physics and dreamed of being an astrophysicist. He was fortunate to have friends across the globe, including Andrew, Jesse, John, Kyle and Steve. We will miss Eric’s kind and gentle spirit, his sharp sense of humor, his laughter and his love of story. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street Herndon, VA 20170 A viewing will be held at 10:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am Eric will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at 1:30pm at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA.
