Obituary of Eugene Francis Walsh

Eugene Francis Walsh, 73, of Herndon, VA, passed away at 11:39 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Reston Hospital. He was born October 27, 1943, in New York, a son of the late Eugene Walter Walsh and Mary K. Walsh. Surviving are his two sons, Warren (Peggy) Walsh, of Stillwater, MN, and Michael (Ashley) Walsh, of Andover, MN, and five grandchildren (Meghan, Collin, Evalyn, Corey, and Charlie). He was preceded in death by one grandson (Ryan). Mr. Walsh is also survived by his loving stepmother, Mildred A. Walsh, Myrtle Beach, SC, and three sisters, Carolyn (Mark) Hasfurter, of Gaithersburg, MD; Irene (Tom) Lombard, of Antioch, IL; and Connie (Dale) McFadden, of Brunswick, MD; and several nieces and nephews that he dearly loved. Mr. Walsh retired as a Supervisory Special Agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2000 with 33 years of service, having followed in his father’s footsteps who retired in 1976 as an FBI Assistant Director. Visitation will be at the Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA, on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD, at 1:30p.m.
