Obituary of Edna Earle Caputo

Edna Earle Caputo, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 22nd, 2017 at Brightview Senior Living in Great Falls, Virginia. She was born in Duplin County, North Carolina to Samuel Player Judge and Mildred Elizabeth Judge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Norwood Earl Judge, her sister Elizabeth Lamb Jones and daughter-in-law Allyson Caputo. She attended Chinquapin School up to her senior year and then graduated from Clement High School. She worked for the Army Corp of Engineers in Wilmington, North Carolina and the Fort Belvoir Army Base in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia and then later became a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and loved entertaining. After successfully raising her family, she became a fragrance model and salesperson. She is remembered by many as the Tea Rose lady. She was a very caring and loving mother for her children and grandmother to her grandchildren. Her most precious days were spent with family at the beaches of Outer Banks. She certainly enjoyed getting her savage tan! We will certainly remember her sitting by the edge of the water in her beach chair wearing her sun hat and sunglasses. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Kathryn Vaughn and her brother-in-law Larry Vaughn, her three children Gina Gallagher, Michael Caputo, and Andrew Caputo, son-in-law Terry Gallagher, Daughter-in-law Lisa Caputo and her eight grandchildren, Trent, Skylar, Bridget, Vincent, Hayley, Darby, AJ, and Sadie as well as many other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and family from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at Adams Green Funeral Home, Herndon, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org.
