Obituary of Robert Lee Fox

Robert Lee Fox, Sr. (Bobby) of Harpers Ferry WV, Died Thursday February 2, 2017 at the Hospice of the Panhandle, with his family by his side. Born January 20th 1938, He was born in a Log Cabin on a snowy day on Sterling Farm (which is now Dulles Town Center). One of the originals left from Old Sterling, VA. Bobby grew up on Sterling Farm and then worked at Thompsons Diary in DC. Then he took after his father Roy Fox and became a truck driver at Chantilly Quarry. He always had a big garden and loved giving everyone vegetables. Met his wife at a dance where his band was playing, when they were 17. Always loved dancing, big band music, his tractors and being with friends and family. He never sat down! Always busy doing something! Bobby is survived by his wife of 59 years Shirley (McCroskey) Fox, his son, Robert Fox Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL, his daughter, Debi Fox Honarkar and son in law, Alireza Honarkar of DC, his grandkids Shaw Honarkar and Sterling Honarkar. Named after the town and the street he lived on. The grandkids were happy to celebrate his 79th birthday with him just a few weeks ago. He lived life the way he wanted to. Strong till the end! A Celebration of Bobby’s Life and Visitation, will be at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA with a graveside internment afterwards at Sterling Cemetery on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 1-3:00. Donations can be given to Hospice of the Panhandle at 330 Hospice Lane Kearneysville, WV 25430 in memory of Robert Fox. They were amazing.
