Obituary of Jerry Lee Liston

Jerry L. Liston, 81, of Herndon, VA, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. Born on April 19, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was the son of the late E. Lee Liston and Vera Liston. He is survived by his wife, his brother and sister, his daughter and son, and six grandchildren. Jerry Liston has a Ph.D. in Slavic Linguistics and taught at Cornell University and the University of Texas. He served in the Army and in Vietnam, earning a Bronze Star Award. Before retiring in 1955, he worked for the federal government for 12 years. Jerry is a U of Utah grad, where he played football for the Utes as a defensive end. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on February 10, 2017 at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on February 11, 2017 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Herndon. Burial will be on February 14, 2017 in Millville, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation.
