Obituary of Diane Grande
Diane (LaBozetta) Grande of Herndon returned to her heavenly home at age 73, on Friday March 3, 2017, at Reston Hospital, VA. She was born in Madison Park Hospital, Brooklyn, NY, on September 11, 1943. She was the daughter of the distinguished late Colonel William C. LaBozetta, PhD and Beatrice (White) LaBozetta of Laurel, MD.
Diane was a talented fine arts specialist and a devout Catholic. She was the Director of Arts and Crafts at the United States Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Home where she developed programs for the members including: car shows, art and stained glass seminars, exhibits of members’ work, woodworking, and gardening. She especially enjoyed the interaction with the retired soldiers, by being attentive to their stories and needs, while developing their skills in various arts. She was a truly professional artist that enjoyed painting, sculpting, pottery/ ceramic and most of all gardening, which was one of her passions. She treasured spending time with her family, especially with her four grandchildren, Ryder, Karleigh, Jimmy and John.
Diane married Luigi Grande in August 22, 1970 at St. Mary’s Church, Landover Hills, Md., which was a journey of 47 years of incredible memories, love and friendship. She is survived by a daughter and a son: Kerian Grande Roche of Bethesda, MD and Justin Grande of Winchester, VA; and by a sister and a brother: Marybeth Bowling of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and William LaBozetta Jr. of Mobile, Alabama.
