I am a member of the CACS support group and was saddened to hear the news.
I am sorry that I cannot be there today since I have pre-surgical appointment but wish to convey my condolences on Nan's passing. Here is a poem that someone sent me after the death of my mother which gave me some comfort:
Don't grieve for me
I've been set free
God alone embraces me.
I took His Hand when I heard Him call
A peaceful end awaits us all.
He will lift your burdens in times of sorrow
I wish you sunshine on your tomorrow
My passing breeze will mess your hair,
Unseen by you, I will still be there.
If my parting has left a void,Then, fill it with remembered joy.
My life's been full, I shared so much,
Good friends,good times, a family's touch.
Though time itself was none too brief,
It seems too short in times of grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me,
My prayers were answered.
Give thanks to God, I am free.
