Obituary of Istvan Halasi

Istvan (Steve) Halasi of Sterling, VA, born in Debrecen, Hungary in 1959 passed away in April of 2017, surrounded by close family and friends at the Fair Oaks Hospital. Istvan and his wife, Margit, came to the United States in 2004. Istvan’s dream was to open a mechanic shop which came true and he was serving the local community of Sterling.

Istvan is survived by his wife, Margit and his mother, Erzsebet Szilagyi in Sterling, VA and by his brother, Gyula Halasi of Debrecen, Hungary. He is greatly missed by his nephew, Szabolcs Halasi and many friends in the United States as well as in Hungary.

Memorial service is to be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. at the Hungarian Reformed Church of Washington, DC. (Oxnam Chapel at Wesley Seminary, 4500 Massachusetts Ave., NW Washington, DC 20016).
