Obituary of Roberta Jo McGowan

Roberta Jo McGowan, 55, of Sterling Virginia died Friday April 21, 2017 at her residence. Survivors include her husband Thomas McGowan III; children Melissa Jones and her fiancé Andrew, Christopher Leight, his wife Jenna; stepchildren Thomas McGowan IV and Dana Hales and her husband Brian; grandchildren Chase, Alexis, Kiarra, Lydeah, Logan, Dakota, Areyana, Drew, Cameron, and Jameson. Roberta is also survived by her stepmother Cindy Bussiere and her husband Jeff, her siblings Linda Bowman and her husband Duane, Tina Powers and her husband Dan, Cheryl Robertson and her boyfriend, Mike Gragg, Jimmy Robertson and his wife Megan and stepbrother Bill Pickard; plus not to exclude the many family members and friends who loved her dearly. Roberta enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed the beach, and her favorite past time was eating smarties.

The family will receive friends to celebrate the life of Roberta on May 6th, 2017 from 1p to 4p at 155 North Cottage Road Sterling Virginia 20164. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take form as contributions to the ASPCA.
