It was wonderful to see and meet so many friends and extended family that came to share their love and memories with Debbie's family and siblings which I believe helped make this week more bearable. Debbie's paintings, creations and crafts were present at Adams Green and also the church plus hundreds of photo's on the screen and collages and albums. Lots of memories were stirred up.
I am thankful to the United Methodist Church of Herndon who welcomed this grieving family so that Debbie could have a Christian service with her family and friends sharing this Tribute.
The Reverend Gary Robbins in Christian love presented the Christian message of hope and they sang my favorite songs. Garrett, Grant and AnneMarie shared their tribute and affirmed their love for their mother.
Glenn's connection to the "City of Fairfax" Band enabled Terry Bradley who is the Principal Trumpet lead to play "Ave Maria" as a trumpet solo which rang as clear as a bell and was so meaningful as we sang the words quietly.
I am so grateful to Glenn's sister Jean and Bob Johnson and their family for hosting a welcoming and bountiful reception where family and friends could gather, sit outside in their large landscaped yard or on the porch, Also it was good to finally see a small smile on Glenn's face...
You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
