Obituary of Linda Louise Reese
Linda Louise (Bradley) Reese, 78, of Reston, Virginia passed away peacefully on June 7, 2017 at The Virginian in Fairfax, Virginia. Born on October 7, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Beatrice Jackson and the late Lester Bradley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) L. Reese and brother, Lester Bradley, Jr. She is survived by her children Barry, Karen, Kathy, Debra and Robyn; sister, Kathy Bradley; brother-in-law Barton Jones (Valerie) and an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A 1956 graduate of Sumner High School in St. Louis, Missouri, Linda was a lifelong learner earning an A.A. in Computer Science from Florissant Valley Community College in St. Louis, a B.S. in Applied Behavioral Science from the National College of Education, Graduate Certification in Computer Security from George Washington University and PMP Masters Certification. Linda also pursued creative self-enrichment courses and practice in ceramics, photography, crafts and gardening.
Linda’s career milestones include serving as an administrative assistant in the Veteran Affairs office at the University of Missouri at St. Louis; traveling around the world to developing countries as an information technology contractor for the U.S. Agency for International Development; and most recently as a senior information technology program manager with the U.S. Department of Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, D.C. from which she retired.
Linda was actively involved at her church, Heritage Fellowship Church in Reston, Virginia, where she served for several years on the transportation ministry.
Linda’s sweet nature and kind heart are immediately and deeply missed.
A memorial service with family, friends and colleagues will take place on Friday, June 23, 2017 beginning at 10:00 am the Heritage Fellowship Church, 2501 Fox Mill Road, Reston, Virginia 20191.
