Obituary of Gertrude Tague Ullrich

Gertrude Tague Ullrich passed away suddenly on July 3, 2017 at the age of 70. Gertrude was a loving wife to George Ullrich and a devoted mother to their children, Erika Huck, Christy Barcus, and Mike Ullrich, and to her two sons-in-law. She was a cherished grandmother to her four grandchildren. She also is survived by her beloved siblings, Charles Tague, David Tague, and Anne Eichman of Pennsylvania.

She grew up in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and graduated from Rosemont College with a degree in political science. She worked for Catholic Charities as a social worker in Philadelphia before moving to Reston, Virginia, where she and George were happily married for 45 years and raised their family. She also worked at Lake Anne Elementary School in Reston for many years.

Visitation will be held at the Adams-Green Funeral Home on Friday, July 7 from 5 to 7 pm and a funeral mass will be held at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church in Reston on Saturday, July 8 at 11 am.
