Obituary of Marcia Anne Diffin
Marcia Anne Diffin, long time resident of Falls Church Va. and later Chrlottesville Va., Passed away
Tuesday (July 11TH) after a long battle with Alzheimers.
Marcia was educated in the Va. public schools; completing high school, graduating from Falls Church
High School in 1948. She later (in 1953) earned a BA.; in music, from Arkansas State University.
Classical music has always been the great love of her life. She became an accomplished pianist and later
became the organist for her church (L.D.S./Mormons) Her second great love was teaching kindergartners. She
began her teaching career at Palnez School (A, K-12 private school in the Tysons Corner area). Later
she established a school of her own; Hilltop House Pre-School, which she ran for several years.
Marcia was always very positive about life. Friends and family will always remember her attitude of
optimism, her ready smile and infectous laugh. Though petite in stature, she would often fill a room
with humor and good will.
Marcia and her husband, James, raised five children. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and
one great grandchild.
Her good humor, unfailing optimism and readiness to help others in need will be greatly missed.
