I was in the 4th. Company with Phil and remember how nice he was and how easy he was to get along with under the stressful times we shared at the Naval Academy.

To Alice and family,
So sorry to read of Phillip's passing in the Post. As you know the Criswells and Pettigrews began their friendship in Honolulu about 1938, and our parents remained close throughout their lifetimes.
Actually, Phillip was my earliest friend. One of my first memories is eating chicken soup for lunch with Phillip when we lived across the street from each other on Vancouver Drive in Honolulu. Also, I have fond memories of the Criswell Christmas parties when both families were again living close together in Washington, DC.
So sorry we will be unable to attend the gathering on August 11 as we are travelling and will not return until August 23.

I have fond memories of our many years of racquetball play. I think of you each time I enter the courts.
