Obituary of Patricia Ann Curran

Patricia Ann Curran, 56, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 6, following a long illness.  She leaves her husband of 22 years, Michael Sandgren of Ashburn VA; three daughters: Julia Sandgren of Ashburn VA, Heather Sandgren and her husband Carlos Walter from Virginia Beach VA, and Jessica Sandgren from Lexington KY  and a son, Zachery Sandgren from Lewisburg PA.  She also leaves a brother, James M Curran of Bloomfield NJ;  a sister, Jean Marie Sexauer, her  husband Tom, of Hamilton NJ;  a step-mother, Karlyn  Curran of Mashpee MA; two grandchildren, two nieces, and more good friends than one could count.

She is preceded in death by her mother Angela R. Curran and father James F. Curran.

She was born in Newark NJ on December 2nd 1960. After graduating from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, she earned her Master’s degree from the New School in New York. She went on to have a successful career in Human Resources and worked for several companies, large and small in the Washington D.C. area, sometimes functioning as the entire HR department. Rest in Peace Tricia. You are missed and loved.

The Family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at Adams-Green Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA 20170. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be offered at 10:00am Wednesday August 16, 2017 at St Theresa Catholic Church 21370 St. Theresa Lane Ashburn, VA 20148. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
