Obituary of Paul Donald Bruns

Paul Donald Bruns, Jr.  was born in Baltimore, Maryland.  He was the first of seven children born to Gertrude Virginia Reilly and Paul Donald Bruns.  Paul was also known as "Mike" to his friends and siblings Kathleen "Cassie", Julia "Julie", Mary Frances "Mary Fran", Matthew "Matt", Theresa "Tese" and Elizabeth "Lisa". His parents, Mary Fran and Cas preceded him in death.

Mike married Jeanne Parker of Fairfax, Virginia in 1977.  They have two daughters Lorilee and Mikki and resided in Herndon, Virginia from 1981 till present.

Paul served his country in the US Navy in Vietnam from 1962 to 1966.  He graduated from Georgetown Medical School in 1975 and after working in hospital emergency rooms for a few years, he operated his own urgent care clinic, 63rd Street Coastal Medical Center, in Ocean City, Maryland from 1990 until his retirement in 2015.

Paul "Mike" passed at home on August 21, 2017.  His life will be honored at the Floris United Methodist Church located at 13600 Frying Pan Road, Herndon, VA on Friday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m.  A reception will follow at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital Caring Hospice or the DAV.
