Obituary of Filomena D. Massaro

Our beautiful Mom "Malela" joined our Dad in Heaven this past Saturday, August 26 2017 after a brave and long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was 85 years old.  Borned and raised in Caracas Venezuela, traveled, lived in Rome for 3 years until her return home to become the Director of a Day Care Center.  Married Vito ¨Renzo¨ Massaro on May 13 1960.  Eventually moved to the USA to be near her three children. 

We will remember her for her love for life and most importantly her love for God. Our mom loved to dance, in their younger years our parents "Renzo & Malela Massaro" joined competitions in dancing halls around the vibrant city of Caracas, Venezuela circa 1950's. We will miss her gregarious personality, her contagious laughter and her unwavering dedication to our family.  She is survived by three adult children Belinda, Magda & Daniel with their respective spouses Tom, Carlos & Lana. She was also blessed with six fun loving grandchildren- Ian Franco, Kade, Marco, Andrew, Avram and the Massaro princess Lynnea.  Many more relatives and friends throughout Venezuela, Italy and in the USA will also remember her fondly.

We will miss you greatly Mami...we will carry your warmth in our hearts until we meet again....for now dance fly and be free...with all our love!
