Obituary of Monique De Grace

Monique de Grace passed away on Thursday, September 21 after a prolonged illness.

Born in Paris, France she was the daughter of Adele and William B. de Grace, a Foreign Service Officer. Monique grew up and was educated in Penang, Malaysia, Asuncion, Paraguay and Alexandria, VA. She graduated from the Maret School in Washington, D.C. and went on to Villanova and Georgetown University.

For over thirty years, Monique was employed by the law firm of Miller and Chevalier, providing dedicated service to the firm. She also organized the firm's participation in the annual Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

Quilting, book making and cooking were among her many talents. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting her family in New England. She liked visiting museums and gardens and her own plants brought her great pleasure.

Monique is missed and mourned by her husband, Rick Craig, her sisters Michele Edelsberg, Chantal Hirtle and Gabriele de Grace, and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 8th from 3 PM until a memorial service to begin at 4 PM at ADAMS-GREEN Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA.
