John Eugene Farbry, jr.  

John passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the early evening of Wednesday, October 11.  Born and raised in Valley Park, Missouri, John was part architect, part engineer and, always, a scholar and a scientist.  He had a driving and unremitting passion to learn. He loved people and talking of substantive issues. He loved chocolate. Most of all, he loved his family - his wife, Linda, their children and spouses, Sara and Joe Taliuaga, Kate and David Ucko, and Christopher Farbry and his beloved partner Khristina.  They, and the happy results of these unions, Carleigh Taliuaga, Magdalena and Charlotte Ucko, Carter, Caden, Elise and Lily Farbry, and Quinn Hucik were the lights of his life.  His best times after retirement were learning or playing quietly with a grandchild or snuggling a new grandbaby.  The family will receive friends from 11am-12:30pm Wednesday October 18, 2017 at Adams-Green Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA, 20170.  A funeral service will follow at 12:30pm. John’s interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorial contributions be sent to Direct Relief (www.directrelief.org) to help victims of the recent natural disasters.
