My condolences and thoughts are with Nancy's family, Mom, Joe, Mike & Ellen, her children & her grandchildren. I met Nancy as a freshman and sorority sister. She was someone who always had a smile and encouraging, wise words when you needed it. I admired the impact Nancy made in the world and in people's lives, whether through work or her involvement in her community and William & Mary. I am thankful we had a chance to visit with her and Joe our last trip back to Williamsburg.
Her candle will always be bright.

Nancy and I were friends since elementary school - we walked to each other's homes to play Barbie and Monopoly- she gave me rides to high school when she learned to drive, and we went to the same college and pledged the same sorority. .When Nancy and I met for lunch in the spring of 2016, it was as if all of the intervening years fell away. We had a wonderful time catching up on each other's families and of the news of old classmates. It was with great sadness that I learned of her untimely passing. Deepest condolences to all of her family - especially to her mom and her husband, Joe. May God comfort you and give you strength in this sad time.

Dear Gofus family,
We both worked with Nancy for many years and even long after our paths diverged, Nancy never stopped mentoring and was always willing to sit down and brainstorm. We love her intelligence, her genuine smile, and her willingness to call it like it is. And each time we met, the conversation always started with Joe, the kids -- her first loves. Our thoughts are with you.

Gofus family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy over the loss of Nancy. My wife and I arrived at the funeral home last evening, but were unable to come in due to the large crowd of mourners. That speaks volumes to who Nancy was and her impact on folks who know, worked and socialized with her and the family.
At times like this words fail and saying the right thing is often very difficult. But, what I would like to share is the impact that Nancy had on my life. I have not seen or spoken to her since the day that I left Washington and moved to New Jersey in 1980. I worked with her at AT&T on L Street NW in fundamental planning. I remember her, with a warm spot in my heart, for her leadership and friendship as a coworker. She offered advice and support and did a splendid job with her group.
I noticed her name in connection with Trinity when we moved back to the area, but I did not realize, nor have occasion, to reestablish the friendship. Jo Adams mentioned Nancy's death to me as she knew that I worked for AT&T in the past. I am thankful that Jo let me know.
I know that the family will miss Nancy and I would like you to know that she had a positive impact on my life and I thank her for it. She will be missed.

I have fond memories of Nancy from when I was a new employee at MCI in the early 1990s. During that time she was promoted from a Director to a Vice President. After that her career really took off.
She taught me about the importance of keeping focus, prioritizing tasks, and presenting a positive outlook at all times. Although I have not seen Nancy for several years, a few months ago I started thinking about her and her leadership on a regular basis.
Nancy was truly inspirational. I am tremendously sorry that she is no longer with us.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Nancy was such a role model at MCI/Concert. Her enthusiasm and brilliance will long remain with me and others that she influenced. I remember well that she never apologized for balancing her professional life and her personal life. Business was business....family was everything. Nope sorry I can't do a meeting that date - there is a game.... Our world is forever dimmed with her passing but heaven is brighter and when I think of all that were there to receive Nancy it hurts a little less. May the hearts of her family find comfort in the love and respect that so many of us have for her - she will never be forgotten - it was an honor to have known her. RIP Nancy.

To the Gofus Family
I have know and worked with Nancy for over 20 years. She was a tremendous mentor and personal champion of mine. She was the most driven, intelligent and compassionate leader I had the extreme honor to have worked with. On personal note Nancy’s children and my children are the same age and we compared notes constantly on our parenting trials and tribulations. She would always stop by my office and catch up on my children’s progress thru their life adventures. Matt and Katie she was so proud of you both and were loved some much with a smile on her and a compassionate well done. Nancy you will be missed by so many who touched their lives. I wish you all and Nancy a feeling of peace and faith to continue her legacy. She was loved and admired by so many. With sincere condolences. Mark Chodoronek

I extend my deepest condolences to Nancy's family. Forty six years simply fade away when one reads an obituary for a high school classmate. I remember Nancy's calm and quiet presence, and I admired her gifted intelligence. Although we hadn't had contact since 1971, it grieves me to learn of her death. The contributions she has made and the difference she has made in the lives she touched will long be treasured. A life ended much too soon. May her love give you comfort.

My condolences to Katey and Tyler and the rest of the family. I searched the internet for your mom and always knew she was a special lady but learned so much more. Listened to a recording she did for VOA and couldn’t help but notice how her speech was slow and very articulate as opposed to her daughter and my daughter-in-law. Don’t get me wrong you are very articulate.
This is vey unfortunate to lose such a wonderful person at such a young age but rejoice for who she was and the influence she had on your life and the rest of the world. My heart is with you both.
