Obituary of Nayyar Farooq

Nayyar Farooq, 52 years old, well-known by everyone as “NONI”. A loving son, brother, husband, and a great father has gone to be with his Heavenly Father on October 27, 2017, after he fought a strong fight with cancer, where he is resting in peace in the warm embrace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He was born on June 5th, 1965 in Karachi, Pakistan to proud and loving parents, Sadiq and Naseem Din. They treated him like a prince throughout all his life, and he received a stellar education and earned many different degrees and diplomas. As he finished his studies in Pakistan, Nayyar’s parents decided to send him to the United States to further his education. By the grace of God, he arrived in USA on December 19, 1990 and was incredibly excited for the opportunity.

Professionally, Nayyar worked as a Network Engineer in the Information Technology field with many years of experience at different firms, such as Northrup Grumman, Peace Corps, Computer Associates and many more. He worked extremely hard for a well-deserved life with remarkable achievements.

On June 7th, 1991 Nayyar and Naila got married in Virginia. Their marriage of 26 years had many ups and down; nonetheless, their love was an unbreakable bond, and they were very faithful to each other. They were both blessed with two beautiful children - Nerissa (Daughter) and Neville (Son), whom he loved from the bottom of his heart and always wanted the best for them.

Nayyar loved his family and friends very much and had fond memories with them, especially with his younger brother, who was also his best friend, Boney (Nayer Din).

Noni was a member of Herndon United Methodist Church since 1995 and found a monumental amount of joy in being a part of the congregation and community for so many years.

His passion for fishing brought him much happiness along with his favorite hobby, watching horse racing.

As he had a heart of gold and always wanted to help others, he was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. Noni would love to have family and friends over and would enjoy cooking food for all, seafood specifically.

Nayyar is survived by his father, wife, daughter, son, brother, uncles, aunts, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces and so many friends.

In our grief and sufferings Noni, we know that you left us; yet, you spoke to us through your life amongst us and we are comforted by the faithful words spoken by Christ.” I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me even if they die, shall live forever”

Noni, we know that you are in a better place and we will see you again in the time of God’s own choosing.

We all love you Noni, rest in peace.

Your Loving Wife ,

Bitts (Naila Farooq)
