Obituary of Elizabeth Clare Doyle

Elizabeth “Zelie” Clare Doyle passed peacefully in the arms of her loving parents on November 4, 2017 after 75 days at Inova Children’s Hospital in Fairfax, VA.  After struggling with an extremely rare congenital genetic syndrome, she joined Jesus, our Blessed Mother and all of the angels and saints in Heaven.

Elizabeth is the daughter of James and Sarah Doyle and the beloved baby sister of Lillian and Cecilia of Herndon.  She is a blessing from God, and they waited for her birth with joyful expectation.  During her short time on Earth, she enjoyed being held close by parents and relatives.  She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.  She had prayer warriors across the world, and now she is an intercessor for those who remain behind.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm with a rosary beginning at 4:30 pm.  The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Potomac Falls, VA at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church Cemetery.

Elizabeth is survived by parents, Jay and Sarah; big sisters, Lillian and Cecilia; grandmothers, Cathy Doyle and Patricia Baker; grandfather, Daniel Baker; aunts, Maria Baker, Rachel Baker, Alex van der Zee (Spencer); uncles, Steve Baker (Marisa), Fr. Joseph Baker, Mark Baker; and cousins, Isaac, Ella and Henry Baker.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim Doyle.
