Obituary of Kathryn Roxanne Dingman

Kathryn Roxanne Dingman, a wife, mother, grandmother, and foremost daughter of Jesus Christ passed on November 22nd at Loudoun Inova Hospital. She was 71.

Kathryn was born December 18th at Emery University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in Arlington, Virginia. The only child to Rona and Army Major Bernard Heiss she is survived by her husband of 48 years David, daughters Karin, Tiffini and Jill, sons Bernie, Shane, Joe and Joel as well as 17 grandchildren.

Kathryn was happiest when she was caring for others. Being a mom was her greatest joy and achievement, but not her only. In 1974, Kathryn became the first female EMT for the Sterling Park Rescue Squad. Prior to that Kathryn enjoyed a myriad of activities such as motorcycles, stock car racing and being a mechanic.

Kathryn’s husband David was her best friend and together they shared their love for Jesus Christ with anyone who would listen.


Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Adams Green Funeral Home 721 Elden Street Herndon, VA 20170 (703-437-1764). Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30th at 10 a.m.  at Adams Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA., with a burial service to follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery 831 Dranesville Road , Herndon, VA 20170
