Obituary of Gertrude Marie Goodwin

Gertrude M. Goodwin, 82, of Round Hill, VA, passed away on Tuesday, November 21st, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim, and their five children James, Linda, Barbara, Kenneth, and Phyllis; Ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister. 

Trudy was a realtor for 35 years, active in the Dulles Association of Realtors. She helped found Park View Band Aides and founded and served at First Board Chairperson for Christmas in April Loudoun County. She also served as Grand Master for a Sterling Fest parade, was cited for community service, and was named a Women of the Year by Loudoun County. 

A funeral service will be held at Sterling United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 at 2pm. She will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date, attended by family.
