Jeanie was a wonderful Aunt to the Johnson kids (Lisa and Chris), and sister to Carol. She was warm, strong, funny, and wise. Much gratitude for her life, and condolences to Sterns in this time.

I'll miss my Mom.
There will be a big empty hole in my life...and within Beth's...and the Grandkids...and. I would imagine, all who got to know my Mom.
She was the most selfless person I know. Always there for you if you needed a hand or a bit of advice. Always hosting family and friends to dinners and parties. I remember countless family gatherings where we could come down out of our hectic lives and spend some "downtime" with Mom...and then as the Grandkids entered our lives, at Grandma and Grandpa's. It was relaxing and allowed us to recharge...and there were always great dinners...spaghetti and meatballs, roasts...and those awesome pies!
She also did much with her friends and in service to her church, including a working trip to Panama and Costa Rica where she and friends helped construct a church for the poor.
I recent years she wasn't able to help others as much as she used to...or play host, and needed help in doing things. I know she was very uncomfortable with that. That's not the Mom, friend and Grandma that we all know.
In the coming years, we will try and play her role, helping others and being there as needed. I also know that whenever things get hectic or sad, I know I will find comfort by recalling the strength and kindness of my Mom. And I look forward to a big family gathering that will include her again someday.
