Obituary of Corrine June Ankers

Corrine Ankers, 74, of Ft. Myers FL, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at 4am.

Born on June 21, 1943 in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Donald Gentz and the late Evelyn Gentz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Donna Gentz, and her beloved husband of 44 years, Jonathan Ankers.

Corrine was a long time U.S. Census Bureau employee and retired in 1995. She loved to travel the world, play golf, spend time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed life to its fullest. May she be at peace and surrounded in God’s love and healing.

She is survived by her son Scott and his wife Mary, her son Jeff and his wife Kirsten, and her four grandchildren, Thomas, Hannah, Olivia and Sullivan.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 2 at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA with Rev. Clint Kerley officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
