Obituary of Clinton Eugene Miller

 

Clinton Eugene Miller Jr., 82 years of age, a longtime resident of Reston, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2018.

 

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 12:00 noon at McLean Bible Church, 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182.  Burial will follow at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.

 

Clint was born October 6, 1935, in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama to Clinton Eugene Miller, Sr. and Leona Lee Brown.  He attended Pratt Elementary and graduated from Ensley High School in Birmingham, Alabama in 1953.  He graduated from the University of Alabama, a proud Roll Tide fan, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1958 and was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity.  Clint served honorably in the United States Navy, being honorably discharged in 1962. He began his career as a rocket engineer for Thiokol Chemical Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama and transitioned to working in the insurance field.  He initially worked as a life insurance agent but went on to design and service employee benefit programs through his company Financial Concepts of Virginia located in Reston, working along with his business partner Patrick W. McEnerney for such long-term clients as the McLean Bible Church, George Mason University and his first client, the National Beer Wholesalers Association. Clint enjoyed playing volleyball, fishing, reading, and listening to music and doing voice-overs.

 

He is survived by his wife Ljubica Gilda Miller, his mother-in-law, Olga Ponce de Puh, sister-in-law Milka Christopherson and husband Manuel Christopherson, brothers-in-law Lucas Puh and wife Miriam, Pedro Puh and Sibylle Draxl, and Miguel Puh and wife Elisa, sister-in-law Giuliana Palomo and husband Walter, niece Katharine Christopherson Murro and husband Juan Antonio Murro, nephew Erick Christopherson and wife Daniela, nephew Kris Christopherson and wife Katerina, grandnieces and grandnephews: Karolina, Ljubliana, Zark Luka, Alekxia, Vanessa, Ivo, Mirko, Jerko, Fiorella, Silvia, Stefano, Lorena, Christian, Sierra, Alessandro, Genaro, Gabriel, Nicholas, and Kai; son Clinton “Bud” Miller, daughter Amanda Dyer, daughter Amy Burns, son-in-law Andy Burns, daughter Allyson Ruscitella, son-in-law Bill Ruscitella; sister Jean Miller Wood, nephew John Wood and wife Kathy Wood, niece Jan Plemmons and grandniece Kelsey, and grandchildren: Jocelyn, Alex, Sarah Elizabeth, Ryan, Will and Riley.
