Thomas Thrall posted a condolence

I got to know Allison at an early age, as I grew up in the Thrall home next door. As a young teen, I spent a couple of summers doing yard work for Mr. and Mrs. Crews, mowing the grass and trimming the trees. Both of them seemed like such warm, caring people, and I felt lucky to have them as our neighbors. Later, after getting started on my own medical career, I can remember a number of engaging conversations that I had with Allison, about the changes in the medical world that were taking place in the 1970s and 80s. She always had an insightful view on the subject. She was a part of our family, and I always regarded her as one of my aunts, much closer than any other member of my extended family. I will miss her and always value her friendship, and remember her as a remarkable person that I was lucky to know in my life. May she rest in peace.

Sincere condolences from me and my wife, Sandy. As my sister, Elizabeth (Betty) said, we Thralls grew up next to Alison and Mac. I even worked on the construction of their home in the mid-1960's. She was ever our friend, and was close to my children as well.
Like our Mother, Helen Thrall, who passed away last April, Alison was a true member of The Greatest Generation.
Sandy Novak here. I met Alison for the first time in 2006 when we were in Great Falls for our son, Bradley's, wedding. She graciously opened her home to us for the weekend. After everyone went off to bed, Alison and I sat up talking into the night to get to know each other. I had one of the most remarkable conversations of my life that night. I met a woman with a capacity to delve into the depths of who you are with curiosity and relish. I felt like I got to sense the essence of who she was in a matter of a couple hours. She was so available, so self disclosing. What a rare quality. I have great respect for her, her intelligence, her integrity, and her acceptance of everyone as they are.

Alison was one of the most influential women of my life. Growing up next door, she was always there for me as a child, willing to share her boundless knowledge and wisdom. She was part of the family; to me, she was "Aunt Alison." As an adult, I could always count on her to be there for me and my kids, to be the calm in the storm. Whenever I was in town, we would always get together, and I wholeheartedly looked forward to those visits.
I honestly don't think I've ever met someone as brilliant, as curious, as steadfastly loyal as Alison. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Heartfelt condolences to her niece and nephews, and to all who loved her.
