The death of someone young especially hurts for the tragedy of a lifespan not fully lived. (Isaiah 38:10) Yet, we are not left without hope, for God has told us the truth about death. He tells us “there shall be a resurrection of the dead.” (Acts 24:15) Jesus showed this to be a reality when he raised Lazarus from the dead. (John 11:39-44) The Bible’s promise of a resurrection does not eliminate the pain of losing a loved one. But imagine the prospect of being reunited with Tiffany. See jw.org for and encouraging video, “Is there Hope for the Dead?” May the thought of being able to embrace her again make your pain easier to bear. I send my sincere condolences to the family.
