Obituary of Lawrence Albert Malkin
Lawrence A. Malkin, 89, a native of Brooklyn, NY, who lived in Herndon, VA, passed away on 17 February, 2018 at Reston Hospital.
Born on September 2, 1928 in East New York, Brooklyn he was the son of the late Edith Malkin and the brother of the late Rhoda Feder.
Larry Malkin attended Newark College of Engineering in New Jersey and had a career in Electrical Engineering for over 27 years at RCA. He then put his expertise in service to the Federal Contracting industry as a Quality Assurance Engineer and Subject Matter Expert where he worked for such firms as Martin Marietta, TRACOR, and ManTech. He was a lover of jazz and the singers of American Popular Music Standards. He enjoyed travel, Sephardic cuisine, mysteries, thrillers, and Gal Gadot’s portrayal of Wonder Woman.
He is survived by his son, Keith Robert Malkin, his daughter, Stacy Schwartz, his son-in-law, Tedd Schwartz, and his grandchildren, Andrew, Jenna, and Benjamin Schwartz
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on 21, February, 2018 at King David Memorial Gardens with Rabbi Rosalind A. Gold officiating. Burial will follow. Family and friends will be received after the burial service and Shiva will be held at the Schwartz residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
