Obituary of Dhirubhai Bhailalbhai Patel

Dhirubhai Patel, 82, of Herndon, VA, formerly of Iselin, NJ passed away peacefully on February 20, 2018.  Dhirubhai was born November 28, 1935 in Kenya and was the youngest of five children. He spent his childhood in India and pursued his Civil Engineering degree in England prior to moving to the United States in 1970.  

Dhirubhai is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Hansaben.  He was proud of his three daughters and son-in-laws; Shilpi and Bhadresh Patel of Herndon, VA, Heena and Himanshu Patel of Ann Arbor, MI, and Jigna and Amit Desai of Cheshire, CT; and eight loving grandchildren; Nikita, Milan, Reema, Tejal, Kajal, Jai, Jaan and Aaj.  

Dhirubhai always loved to spend time with his family and thoroughly enjoyed both traveling and world cuisines.  He also enjoyed watching cricket matches and of course, his news channels.  

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 10 am at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
