To the family of Father Johnson: We extend to you our deepest sympathy for the passing of your beloved one - Father Emmanuel Johnson. My College President (Cuttington College and Divinity School) and Lawrence's High-School Principal (BW Harris), Father Johnson taught my mother in Sunday School at Trinity Cathedral, Monrovia, officiated at the wedding of my parents, Ambassador Francis A. Dennis, Sr. and Mrs. Evangeline B. Morris Dennis at Trinity, then several years later, officiated, with other clergy, at our wedding at First Baptist Church, Washington, DC!
While he provided superior counseling, stellar guidance, and solid educational administration for the students of Cuttington and BW Harris, his sense of humor was unforgettable. In addition to "So you say you are Pineapple, well then show me your juice!" there was also "Never trouble Trouble, until Trouble troubles you!" both of which I better understand with maturity and experience.
He provided us with a moral compass - something very valuable to our foundation, that is often lacking in current school environments these days, but we were blessed with his insights and leadership by example. Farewell, Father Johnson, but we are confident that you have taken your rightful place with the heavenly cloud of Witnesses, and we will see you again in due time, with God as our helper!
Mrs. Florence Charlotte Dennis-Huskin
and Mr. Lawrence S. Huskin

I remember your frequent visits to B.W.Harris when I was a student there for fourteen years (Kindergarten-12th grade), you walked with authority, you were a true Disciplinarian, you believe in education and you believe in the students of the Bravid Washington Harris Episcopal High School and told us to reach for the stars. You always stressed the motto of B.W.Harris Episcopal High School "Perseverance Achievement Quality". You've played your part well and now it's time to take your rest. May your soul rest in eternal peace.
