Obituary of Theresa Ann Stiefvater

Theresa Ann Stiefvater, age 74, passed away peacefully with her loving husband John by her side on Saturday March 10, 2018 at Reston Hospital Center.
She was born in Hackensack New Jersey on January 15, 1944 to Frances and Russell Dobler. Theresa was the matriarch of our family on both sides. She was a amazing Wife, Mother, Nana and great Grandma. Her family was her life and meant everything to her.
She is survived by  her loving husband of 55 years, John J. Stiefvater of Sterling, VA; her three children, Deborah Dupuis-Gass of Winchester, Michelle Perrone and husband Ronald of Winchester, John R. Howell- Stiefvater and husband Seth of Winchester. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Monique Dupuis Newman and husband Joseph of Sterling, Michael John Dupuis of Sterling, John S. Perrone, Nicole M. Perrone and Nathan R. Perrone; all of Winchester. She was also blessed to have three great grandchildren, Dylan Michael Jacobs-Dupuis (17) of Sterling who is also her only Godchild, Alayna Danielle Jacobs (10) of Sterling and our pip squeak Jayden David Newman (3) of Sterling. She is also survived by her very special niece Kathy A Scaringi and nephew Anthony Raymond Scaringi of Locust NC. She was like a mother to them.Terry (Theresa) had many friends and family all over the world, whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, Rosemarie Pallard, Dolores Scaringi, Herman Dobler and her twin sister Betty Dobler as well as her nephew, Russell Scaringi, Sr. She is also preceded in death by her grandson David Wayne Dupuis, who passed away at the age of 24 in 2011.

Our faith believes that she is now with her loved ones in Heaven. We will miss her dearly for the rest of our lives. May she rest in peace.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 16th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Byrd Highway, Sterling, VA 20164
