Obituary of James Howard Wilson

James Howard (Jim) Wilson, 68, of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his home.

Memorial service will be held at Fairfax Church of Christ, 3901 Rugby Rd, Fairfax on Saturday March 17, 2018 at 3pm with Pastor Phil McKinney officiating. Visitation will be held at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Eldon St, Herndon, VA on Saturday March 17 from 10:00 to 12:00.

Jim was born in Mineola, NY to Harry D and Marguerite E (Gelabert) Wilson on June 20, 1949. He went to high school at Pattonville in Maryland Heights, Missouri and graduated in 1968. He went on to study business at Southeast Missouri State University. He served with the US Army in Vietnam and later served 12 years with the US Navy. After serving in the Navy he later retired from United Airlines.  He enjoyed scuba diving, sky diving and music having learned to play the guitar and violin. He was involved in mission trips to the Dominican Republic and was active in Celebrate Recovery with the Fairfax Church of Christ.

Jim is survived by his mother, of the home, his brother Richard (Rick) Wilson of the home, a sister, Barbara (Ron) Kent of Columbia, Missouri, a nephew Scott (Penny) Kent of DeLand, Florida and niece Elizabeth (Sterling) Infield of Manassas, Virginia; two great nephews and two great nieces and one great-great nephew.  He was preceded in death by his father.
