Obituary of Charles John Zavolta

Charles “Chuck” Zavolta, 62, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, in Herndon, VA.

Chuck was born on July 4, 1955, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Betty) Zavolta. In 1977, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from VCU in Richmond, VA. He enjoyed interacting with people so much that he made a career as a technical recruiter in the Washington DC metro area. He married Lupita Zavolta on October 13, 1990. They raised one daughter and two sons. Chuck loved spending time with family and friends and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chuck had a strong faith and was involved in a number of churches throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Lupita Zavolta, daughter Allison and son-in-law Cisco Castillo, son Joshua, and son Andrew and his family Kate and daughter Lilly, parents Nicholas and Elizabeth Zavolta, sisters Susan Zavolta and Sandy Evalenko.

His funeral service will be held this Thursday at Adams Greene Funeral Home. There will be a viewing at 10:00 a.m., a service at 11:00 a.m., and burial at Chestnut Grove Cemetery (831 Dranesville Rd, Herndon VA) immediately following the service.
