She spent many years in Reston, VA and was well known for owning the Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Store at Hunters Woods Shopping Center. After John passed away she moved to Charles Town, WV to be closer to her son Tom and to get away from the fast paced city life. She made many friends in Charles Town and lead an active social life. For the past several years she has been living at The Fairfax at Belvoir Woods, an independent senior living facility where she also made many friends. In her youth, she enjoyed hiking, photography, cooking, and travelling throughout Europe. She delight in listening to classical music and gardening. She raised her children and was an active parent in youth soccer programs and swim teams. In recent years, she relished going to concerts at the Kennedy Center and spending time with her friends, children, grandchildren, and particularly showing off her 2 great grandchildren to all of her friends. She led a long, full, and adventurous life and had a great impact on anyone that met her.
