Obituary of Tiffany Leigh Lash

Tiffany Leigh Lash, “Tiff” 34, of Sterling VA, passed away on 10 April, 2018 in Manassas, VA. 

Born on 25 August, 1983 in Fairfax, VA she was the oldest daughter of Leslie and Rick Lash and sister of Brittany and Brandi Lash.

Tiffany was a local graduate of Potomac Falls High School and was educated in Information Management at Clarion University in PA.  At Clarion she was involved with the Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority club and interned with the Central Intelligence Agency.  She worked in various admin positions with Cambridge Systems, NGA, Lockhead Martin, Del Ray Animal Hospital and Cooper River IT.   

Tiffany will be remembered for the loving, giving, and funny person that she was. She was always looking for a way to make people laugh, whether it be through pranks, funny stories from the past, or just her goofie self. Her smile radiated to all those around her and her passion in everything she did was undeniable. Tiffany loved her family and friends and always found joy in just spending time with her loved ones and her pets. She cherished every single memory she made with those around her and was always looking for opportunities to make more. Tiffany always had a love for dancing, softball, cheerleading and swimming. She was like a fish, so any chance she had to be in the water, that’s where you would find her. Most of all, Tiffany loved the warm sand and cool waves in both Nags Head and Ocean City, where she had countless memories with her grandparents. Anyone who knew her, knew her heart belonged in the Outer Banks. She loved with all her heart and was loved by many.

Unfortunately, Tiffany struggled with alcoholism for many years. Though she was in a constant struggle with the disease, her passion did not dwindle. We saw this in the many times she took the disease head on and even overcome it time and time again. However, she continued to fight in what became an unbeatable battle that eventually took her life. We find comfort in knowing that she is no longer struggling and is now at peace.

Tiffany is survived by her parents Leslie Ann Lash and Richard Lee Lash Jr, her sisters Brittany Lash and Brandi Lash and her paternal grandparents Joy Lash and Richard (Dick) Lash Sr.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Margaret Elizabeth (Bittenbender) Hampton and Robert Knight Hampton.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on 20 April 2018 at Adams Green Funeral Home, Herndon VA followed immediately with a memorial service, celebrating her life, at 5:00 PM.   Friends and Family are welcome to gather at the home of Tiffany’s Aunt and Uncle, Ralph and Teri Lumsden immediately preceding the service.
